I fondly remember our overflowing family reunions at Uncle Gordon's house in Hartfield over 25 years ago. As a kid I was shocked at how extended our extended family was and had a blast with the swimming, volleyball, and horseshoes. Gordon's sense of humor and constant kidding are also fun memories. Please give our sympathies and prayers to the family.Sincerely, Matt and Stacy and kids. (Grandson of Vince, Gordon's brother)

Dear Rothwell family:I could always count on the biggest smile and a little flirt from Gordie, especially in front of the "guys" at McDonald's. If the weather was nice they sat outside and waived if you went around the drive thru. Life wasn't always easy but he never let it get him down, you are all in my prayers.

Lisa, Debra, Tim, Randy & Jeff and Families ~Your Dad was an amazing man! Always so good natured & fun – he brought many smiles to the faces of the folks at Springwood Apartments. I have such fond memories of our light hearted conversations and of all the times he insisted on shoveling a path for the mailman…..no matter how much I insisted he shouldn’t be! Memories will always keep Gordy close in spirit and close to our hearts. May your memories comfort you during this time of sadness.Cathy & David Ferguson

The Rothwell's were neighbors of mine in Elm Flats when we were children, attending the little one room schoolhouse and the EUB Church there, so I have known Gordie almost all my life. He was a fine man and I am sure will be missed by all. My sympathy to brothers Vincent and Keith and to all of Gordie's descendants.
