Obituary of Eunice Elizabeth Brigman

An Erie resident most all her life, Eunice graduated the top of her class from Laurinburg High School and moved to Erie in the 1950's. While in Erie she had been employed by several area Doctors as an office manager and receptionist. She retired from Alpine Manor SNF in 1987. A resident of Methodist Towers for the past 20 plus years, Eunice enjoyed her many friends, acquaintances and neighbors there. A devoted Christian, Eunice lived her life for her Lord and her family. OBIT: Eunice Elizabeth Brigman, age 81, of Methodist Towers, Erie, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at St. Vincent Health Center with her family at her side following a brief illness. Eunice was born on February 16, 1928 in Laurinburg, NC, the daughter of the late James Cilfus and Eunice E. (Paul) Brigman. Eunice is survived by her extended family that includes; Deborah C. (Scott) Mason of Westfield, NY; Jacqueline N. (Gregg) Wilkinson of Willow Park, TX, John G. Roemer, Jr. of Erie, PA; William J. Roemer of Boone, NC, and J. Gordon Roemer, Sr. also of Erie. Several nieces nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Neil (Stevens) Roemer and her three brothers, James C. Brigman, Jr, and Pleas B. and James Nathan Stevens. Her family will be present to receive friends at the First United Methodist Church of Erie, 707 Sassafras St. on Saturday morning from 10:30 Am until the time of her Funeral Service there at 11:00 with Rev. Aaron Kerr officiating. Private burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Erie, 707 Sassafras St., Erie, PA 16501.
