Obituary of June Marie Persons

A Westfield resident most of her life, she had also resided in Brocton in her senior years. June had been employed in Westfield by the former WT Grant Co., the West Shoe Store and had co-owned Sincerely Yours Dress Shop with Katherine Palermo. She had also been employed by McEntarfer's Pharmacy in Fredonia. June volunteered at Brocton Central School for atleast 16 years in the Foster Grandparent Program, with and for the second grade teachers, Dawn Bates and Bonnie Bromsted. She was affectionalty known by many as "Grandma June". She had been a member of the First United Methodist Church of Westfield, volunteered at Westfield Memorial Hospital as a Gray Lady. She enjoyed gardening and reading. She was an avid birdwatcher. She was an animal lover who was always ready to rescue and nurture any animal that came her way.
