A Westfild resident most all his adult life, John attended Schools in North Tonawanda, was a veteran of the US Navy, and had been employed by Bell Aerospace for several years. He is survived by his granddaughter Sara Afromowitz and her father Martin of Mercer Island, WA. Joh is further survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (alonge) Black, his son David Black, his daughter Cheryl Afromowitz, his siblings, Evelyn, Margaret,Janet, Thomas, Donald and Jean.
