"Granddad" leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Plynn worked many jobs in his life, retiring from Quality Markets in 1981 as night superintendent of the warehouse in Jamestown, NY. Plynn and Norma were members of a sweet group of Christian friends called "The Golden Oldies". They meet weekly for Bible study and prayer in each other's homes. Three of the members have gone before Plynn and their reunion will be glorious. A memorial service will be held at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Gerald Olshevski of the Assembly of God of North East officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Plynn's memory to either Hospice of Chautauqua County at 4840 West Lake Road in Mayville, NY 14757 or to the University of Buffalo-Anatomical Gift Program at 3435 Main Street, Bldg 26, Buffalo, NY 14214. By donating his body to medical science, Plynn hoped that even after his death, he could continue to help others.
