Susan M. Franklin, 81, of Uniontown, Ohio. formerly of Westfield, N.Y., passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 6, 2021, with her family at her side.

She was born April 13, 1940 in Westfield, N.Y., the daughter of the late Dorothy (Walker) Cochran. She married Marland E. Franklin Sr., and he preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1994.

Susan is survived by two daughters: Debbie (Garvin) Goodson of Uniontown, Ohio and Cyndi (Rob) Houser of Indianapolis, Ind; a son, William (Debbie) Franklin of Portsmouth, Va.; a step-daughter, Lynda (Jim) Anzalone of Westfield; a brother, David (Ann) Cochran of West field; 13 grandchildren: Page: 1 Marley (David) Brownlee, Tony and Samantha Good son, Valerie, Jeff (Carrie) and Joe (Vanessa), Charles (Katherine) Houser, Willi am, Dylan and Kristopher Franklin, Eric, Kristopher (Natalie) Kelly, and Lynlee (Anthony) Hann. and many adopted grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, Dominik, Blake and Maxwell Brownlee, Peyton and Hayden Carlton, Mackenzie Houser, Autumn and Owen Goodson, Aiden and McKenna Kelly, Cooper, Gunner, Stella, Luke and Brooks Houser, Laikin and Steven (Ashlynn) Kelly, Neil, Marlon and Marija Yopp; seven great-great grandchildren: Benjamin and Emma Kelly, Jonah White, Nebreah, Stella, and Aaliyah Yopp and Lamar Siler; three very dear friends: Betty, Phyllis and Della; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, Rudy and Elva Cochran; two brothers: M. Clebert and William Cochran; and a stepson, Marland E. Franklin Jr.

Susan worked as teller at Midland Marine Bank in Westfield, for Welch’s Foods Inc in North East, Pa., and her favorite and most loved job besides being a Gramma & GiGi was being a bus monitor for all her special children at Westfield Academy and Central School.

Susie loved playing Skip-Bo, rummikub and eating moose tracks and candy kisses with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading Harlequin romance books, watching her favorite shows, Jeopardy and the Wheel of Fortune.

Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, at the Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St. ,Westfield. A funeral service will be held on Monday at noon in the Lakeshore Assembly of God Church, 252 E. Main St, Westfield, where there will be additional visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of services at noon, the Rev. Vinny Sanzo will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Westfield Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Susan’s memory to the Lakeshore Assembly of God Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
