WESTFIELD - Lorraine M. (DuChaine) Jaynes, age 87, of South Gale St., Westfield, NY died Sunday, June 26, 2016 at home with her family by her side, following an extended illness. Lorraine was born on December 4, 1928 in Westfield a daughter of the late Bernard and Estella (Dennison) DuChaine. A Westfield resident all her life, Lorraine was a member of the Class of 1946 of Westfield Academy. Following graduation, she married Allen Rodney Jaynes on New Years eve 1946-1947 in Westfield. They were married for 69 years, always referring to their Wedding date as January 1, 1947. Lorraine had been the owner and Manager of the former Cora's Beauty Salon in Westfield for many years. She had been an avid bowler in earlier years, which included scoring a perfect game. As a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 517, she had served as Senior Regent. Lorraine loved tending to her flower gardens and bird watching. She also enjoyed jigsaw, crossword puzzles and was a member of a ladies card club for many years. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Allen Rodney "Rod" Jaynes, her three sons, Christopher (Rita) Jaynes of Westfield, NY, Kirk (Hilary "Hi-Dee") Jaynes of Rochester, NY and Kevin (Daune) Jaynes of Berea, OH, and by her 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is further survived her sister, Charlotte Calarco of Westfield. Friends may call on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY. All other Funeral Services will be private. Burial will be in Westfield Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Chautauqua County, 20 West Fairmont Avenue, Lakewood, NY 14750.
