Obituary of Irma Batson Ossman

Irma (Broeme) Batson Ossman, age 91, of Clymer, formerly of Sherman and Westfield, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Corry Manor Nursing Home of Corry, PA. Irma was born on September 21, 1923 in the Town of Mina, NY, a daughter of the late Louis and Dealia (Tenbuckle) Broeme. Irma graduated from Sherman Schools and had lived in the Sherman and Westfield areas most all her life. She had moved to Clymer in the past few years to be closer to her family. Irma was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Sherman for over 60 years and had taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and participated in many other Church activities. She greatly enjoyed her Bible Study groups. Irma was a dedicated homemaker who's faith and family were everything to her. She is survived by one daughter: Margaret (Burton) Emory of Findley Lake, NY and by her seven grandchildren, Clifford (Dianna) Foster of Clymer, NY with whom she had her home; Wayne (Barb) Emory and Brent (Lisa) Emory both of Clymer, Anneliese Scadden of Las Vegas, NV; Krista (Kevin) Rhebergen and Shane (Tammy) Scadden both of Sherman, NY and Jeffery (Stacy) Scadden of Ripley, NY. 21 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great Great Grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford Batson who died in1964, her second husband, John H. Ossman who died in 2004 her daughter, Linda Sadler, who died in 2013 and by her sister Anna Marie Wendland and her brother Otto Broeme. Friends may call on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 4-7 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY and again on Thursday, October 23 from 10 AM until 11 AM at the First Baptist Church of Sherman, 113 Church Street, Sherman, NY where her funeral service will be held at 11 AM, with Rev.
