Obituary of Donald E. Blynt

RIPLEY - Donald E. Blynt, age 82, of Old Route 20, Ripley, died Monday, September 29, 2014 at home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with Cancer. Donald was born on January 21, 1932 in Corry, PA, the son of the late Walter R. and Reva Mae (Ross) Blynt. He served in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1950 . Donald had been a Dairy farmer and had also owned and operated an Auto Body shop in Westfield for many years. He was a professionally trained Auctioneer, who enjoyed going to Auctions. Donald loved NASCAR and was a fan of Jeff Gordon. He was an avid card player who enjoyed all types of card games. But most of all Donald loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife: Pauline "Paula"(Warnshuis) Blynt and his daughter: Paulette Craven both of Ripley, NY. Donald was the proud Grandfather of, Michael, Timothy and David Landon, Ronald, Kevin and Sherri Blynt and Elizabeth Ann Clute. Many Great Grandchildren and Several Great Great Grandchildren also survive. Donald is further survived by his sister: Gladys Hiscox and his brother Melvin Blynt both of Gastonia, NC. He was preceded in death by his infant son Donald Robert Blynt in 1950, his 7 year old daughter, Deborah Lynn Blynt, in 1963 and by his 42 year old son, Ronald E. Blynt, in 1994 as well as by his 3 brothers, Lyle, Edward and Raymond Blynt. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 4-7 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY, and are invited to attend his Funeral Service there on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 11 AM with Rev.
