Obituary of Junes T Ossman

WESTFIELD - Junes T. (Hutchinson) Ossman, age 82, of Hardscrabble Road, Westfield, NY, died Monday, June 10, 2013 at Absolut Care of Westfield. Junes was born on February 11, 1931 in Westfield, the daughter of the late Louis, Sr. and Thelma (Bates) Hutchinson. Junes was a Chautauqua County resident all her life. Following High School Graduation, she was employed by "Sam the Greek" at his restaurant and Candy Store in Westfield. Junes loved the restaurant business and one day hoped to have her own restaurant. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. Junes was dedicated to raising her three children and working with her husband on the family farm on Hardscrabble Road. Her dream of owning her own restaurant came true when she became the owner of "the Farmer's Daughter's Restaurant" in Westfield, which she operated for 13 years. Junes was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Society of Westfield. She is survived by her one son: Richard A. Ossman of Westfield, NY her two daughters: Roxann S. (John) Dean of Wilmington, OH, Brenda K. (James) Ossman-Howard of Reading, MA and her eight grandchildren that include; Jason L. Dean and Janell Iva Dean of Wilmington, OH, Kristine and Kelsey Ossman of Westfield, NY, Jacqueline (David) Merritt, Richard Aaron (Tracey) Dotson, Andrew J. Dotson, Junes E. Ossman-Dotson all of Massachusetts. Several great Grandchildren also survive. Junes is further survived by her brother, Louie Hutchinson, Jr. of Westfield, and her Sister In Law, Ruth Ossman-Grono of Winter Haven, FL. She was preceded in death her Husband, Richard J. Ossman, whom she married on Nov. 30, 1949 and who died on Dec. 17, 2002 and by her two sisters, Elaire Ellis and Georgette Peterson, as well as by her father, Louis Hutchinson, Sr., and her mother Thelma Bates Hutchinson Dawley. Friends may call on Wednesday, June 12 from 4-7 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at The First Presbyterian Church and Society of Westfield, 49 So. Portage St., Westfield, NY with Rev. Stephen Morse officiating. Burial will be in Westfield Cemetery.
