WESTFIELD - Daniel A. Mardana, age 67, of West Main Street, Westfield, NY, died unexpectedly, Wednesday morning, May 6, 2015 at home.
Dan was born on January 7, 1948 in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Albert and Alice Cazminovich.
He was a 1965 graduate of Lakeshore High School and received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Buffalo State College. He had been employed for many years as a Mechanical Engineer; however his passion was for Art and Painting.
Dan served three tours in Vietnam with the US Marine Corps from 1966 to 1969 and served with the US Army from 1975-1978.
Our HERO is sailing free of earthly burdens, painting the skies for those of us left behind. He was a man who possessed many talents; he was an artist, composer, inventor, and chef. Most of all though he was known for his infinite capacity to love all living things! He will be so sadly missed! He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Barbara Harrison and by his three daughters: Tricia Artise of Brocton, NY, Amanda Hite of Augusta, GA, Danielle Campbell of Brocton, NY and by his two sons: John Meister of Melbourne, FL, and Michael Meister of Augusta, GA. 15 Grandchildren and 4 siblings also survive.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Dan on Saturday evening, May 9, 2015, at 7:00 PM at Dan and Barbara's home, 113 West Main St., Westfield, NY.
