Brenda C. Blakeslee

February 18, 1954 – June 7, 2026

Brenda C. Blakeslee, 72, of Wellsville, New York, formerly of Westfield, New York,

passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Jones Memorial Hospital in

Wellsville, New York, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Westfield, New York, on February 18, 1954, the daughter of the late

Paul C. and Edna (Horne) Trippy.

Surviving are her loving children, Kimberly (Thomas) Cole of Hampton, Virginia; Brenton

(Valencia) Blakeslee of Hampton, Virginia; and Alyssa Carter of Dewittville, New York.

She is also survived by eight cherished grandchildren: Cameron, Jalen, and Isaiah

Cole; Brianna Rossi; Sierra (Ethan) Destro; Mackenzie Doepp; Elias Blakeslee; and

Lucas Carter; four great-grandchildren; her dear sister, Janet Wright of Stow, New York;

and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, John Rossi; three siblings, Barbara, Richard,

and Paul F. Trippy; and a granddaughter, Alyssa Rossi.

Brenda graduated from Mayville Central  School with the Class of 1972 and went on to

attend Jamestown School of Nursing. She dedicated much of her career to caring for

others as a nurse, including her time at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles,

California. After returning to Western New York, she continued her nursing career at

several area hospitals, where she was known for her compassion, dedication, and

commitment to her patients.

In her free time, Brenda enjoyed scrapbooking, playing bingo, working crossword

puzzles, and reading. She was an avid fan of James Patterson’s novels and rarely

passed up a good book.

Friends may call at the Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, New York,

on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, where a funeral service will be

held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery

in Fredonia, New York.
