Christopher L. Covert

August 22, 1986 – April 25, 2026

Christopher L. Covert, 39, of Brocton, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA, with his family at his side.

Chris was born on August 22, 1986, in Dunkirk, NY, the son of Richard and Sharon (Adelgren) Covert III.

He is survived by his beloved parents, Richard and Sharon Covert of Wellington, FL; his father, Russell (Janice) Campbell of Fredonia, NY; two cherished sons, Aiden and Parker Covert, both of Westfield, NY; a brother, Kenny Covert of Westfield, NY; a sister, Brooke Covert-LaNear of Wellington, FL; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gerald Adelgren and Erma Hitchcock; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Darlene Covert; and Richard and Josephine Campbell.

Chris graduated from Westfield Academy and Central School, Class of 2004. He was employed by AW Farrell Roofing, and he served as a Steward for Teamsters Local 210.

Chris was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and riding his ATV. He loved animals, especially his canine companion, “Fawn.” He also volunteered at Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue in Westfield, NY. Most of all, Chris cherished being a “Dad,” and his sons meant the world to him.

At the request of the family, there will be no viewing. A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family; date and time to be announced.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Chris’s memory to the American Heart Association or the Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue.
