David P. Hosmer

November 28, 1957 – April 8, 2025

David P. Hosmer, 67, of Brocton, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at his home. He was born on November 28, 1957 in Olean, NY the son of the late Leonard Hosmer and Violet (nee Jones) Mohr On October 3, 1998 he married Sharon M. Burnside in Brocton, NY and she predeceased on December 26, 2024.

David is survived by his daughter, Mae (Kyla) Li of Chambersburg, Pa; two brothers , Leonard Hosmer of Portage, Pa. and Richard Hosmer of Portville, NY; a sister, Deborah Pagano of Belair, MD; his mother, Violet (Fred) Mohr of Galeton, PA; two step-sisters, Lischa (Jimmy) Estrada of Quakertown, Pa. and Michelle (George) Faust of Willow Grove, Pa.

Dave graduated from Oswayo Valley School District in 1973 and continued his education at D’Youville University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and worked as an accountant for A.W. Farrell and Sons in Dunkirk, NY retiring after 25 years of service.

In his younger years he enjoyed playing baseball and golfing and was an avid Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

No prior visitation a graveside service will be held at St. James Cemetery on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 10:30 AM., with Fr. Joseph Walter officiating.
