Obituary of Diane J. Shaw

RIPLEY - Diane J. "Dee" (Mutch) Shaw, age 76, of Ripley, NY, died Friday, January 26, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital following a brief illness.

Dee was on born July 3, 1941 in Westfield, NY, a daughter of the late Frank and Jessie (Ciminella) Mutch.

A 1953 graduate of Westfield High School, Dee had been employed by the Westfield Memorial Hospital as a Nurse's Aide for many years, most recently in the Surgical Autoclaving Department until retiring in 1997. She enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with friends and family. She was an excellent cook, awesome wife and a kind and loving person.

Dee was a member of St. Dominic Parish and the Parish's Altar and Rosary Society.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Edward A. Shaw, whom she married on October 8, 1960 in Westfield and by her brother in law, Richard Shaw and her sister in law, Dorothy Anderson both of Waynesburg, PA. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Dee is further survived by her cherished Cats, Maxie and Mommy.

In addition to her parents, Dee was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Mutch.

Friends may call on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 12 noon until 2 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY, where the Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm with Msgr. Albert Clody officiating. Private burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
