WESTFIELD- Dr. Alan L. "Doc" Ott, age 88, of W. Central Ave., Westfield, NY, died Sunday, January 28, 2018 at home following an extended illness. Doc was born on July 30, 1929 in Kane, PA, the son of the late Nelson and Arlie (Larsen) Ott. Alan graduated from Harborcreek High School in Pennsylvania and went on to serve his Country with the US Marine Corps from 1946 until his Honorable Discharge in 1947. He returned home and graduated from Chiropractic College, and embarked on a career of over 50 years as a Doctor of Chiropractic Services in Westfield. Alan was a member of the Board of Regents of the Sherman Chiropractic College in Spartanburg, SC and regularly attended their meetings. Mr. Ott was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 118 and the John W. Rogers Post 327 American Legion, both in Westfield. Doc was blessed with many friends in both his professional life and his private life. He will missed by all of them. Friends may call on Wednesday evening, January 31, 2018 at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St. Westfield from 4 until 6 PM. Military Honors will be presented at 6 PM by the VFW Honor Guard. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions are encouraged and be made to the John W. Rogers Post 327 American Legion, 7579 East Main Rd., or to the Wm. P Jackway Post 6764 VFW Honor Guard, Pearl at Washington Sts., both in Westfield, NY 14787.
