Obituary of Janice E. Rothwell

WESTFIELD - Janice E. Rothwell, age 66, of Chestnut St., Westfield, NY, died Saturday evening, April 30, 2016 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, PA following an extended illness. Janice was born on April 1, 1950 in Westfield, the daughter of Eleanor (Karash) Beck of Westfield and the late Charles Beck. She married David J. Rothwell on September 22, 1972 at the First united Methodist Church of Westfield. A lifelong Westfield resident, Janice was a 1968 graduate of Westfield Academy and Central School. She had been employed by the former Bell Telephone, which became NY Telephone and retired from Verizon Telephone in 2002 where she had worked as an Information Operator. Janice loved animals of all kinds, especially her cats. She enjoyed making a nice home for her family and traveling with her husband. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, David J. Rothwell and her mother Eleanor (Karash) Beck, both of Westfield. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Beck, her brother Stephen Beck, and her sister Peggy Ann Riedesel. No Calling Hours will be observed.
