WESTFIELD - Marshall V. "Butch" McDonald, age 66, of Westfield, died peacefully Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at his home. Marshall was born February 3, 1950 in Corry, PA. a son of the late Harvey D. and Elsie L. (Tripp) McDonald. Butch enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He had been employed by Mogen David Wine Co., in Westfield, NY as a maintenance mechanic for 25 years retiring in 1993. After retirement he enjoyed spending time at his daughter's farm caring for their animals and helping out in their grapes. But most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. He is survived by 3 daughters: Melissa A. McDonald of Georgia, Christina (Jerry) Ruch of Westfield, and Dianna L. McDonald of Kansas, 3 sisters: Martha J. Willig of Ohio, Marcia J. Miller of North East, PA , Marilyn I. McDonald of Wellsville, NY and one brother: Marion "Mike" McDonald of Iowa as well as six wonderful grandchildren. Butch is further survived by his loving companion, Ruth A. Stratton with whom he made his home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Westfield Fish and Game Club, PO Box 481, or to the Fire Dept. of Westfield Memorial Fund, 23 Elm St., both of Westfield, NY 14787.
