PORTLAND - Bonnie L. (Cobb) Rizzo, age 65, of Fay St., Portland, NY, died Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute of Buffalo, following an extended illness. Bonnie was born on October 15, 1949 in Dunkirk, NY, the daughter of the late Harold and Lucille (Burgun) Cobb. She married Nicholas A. Rizzo, Jr. on November 23, 1968 in Fredonia, NY. A Portland area resident most of her life, she was a graduate of Fredonia High School and had been employed by the Dental offices of Doctors Syrek and Moore, in Dunkirk, as an Oral Surgery Assistant for 37 years. Bonnie had been co-owner with her husband Nick, at the family business, Surplus City Hardware, in Portland for many years. Bonnie was a communicant of St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church of Brocton and was also an active member of the JW Dill Post 434 American Legion Auxiliary, also of Brocton. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, cruising with her husband in her classic Mustang, going to cruise-ins with the Chautauqua Cruisers and also traveling. Above all, Bonnie's main love was her family; her husband, children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Nicholas A. Rizzo, Jr., her three sons: Nicholas (III) and Heidi Rizzo of Brocton, NY, Craig and Sonja Rizzo of Manlius, NY, and Lee and Jenny Rizzo of Arlington, VA. Bonnie was the very proud grandmother of Devin and Lorin Rizzo; Samantha and Catherine Rizzo; and Amelia and Elena Rizzo. She is further survived by her sister, Beverly Orazio of Fredonia and her brother, Arthur Cobb of The Villages, Fl. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Cobb, Jr. Friends may call on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY, and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church of Brocton, 15 Central Avenue, Brocton, NY with Father Joseph Walter officiating.
