member of the Fire Dept. of Westfield, and a member of its Exempt Fireman's Assoc..

Mr. Nash was a faithful member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church of Westfield where he had been active on the Vestry and a member of the

choir. Don was also a member of the Rotary Club of Westfield, The Westfield Moose Lodge, the Westfield Fish and Game Club, the Masonic

Lodge of Westfield, the Chamber of Commerce and was a life member and Past Commodore of the Dunkirk Yacht Club. He was a member of the

Westfield Rotary and the family sponsored several international exchange students. He was a member of the Pharmacy Association of Western NY and Beta Phi Sigma professional fraternity. Don held a black belt in judo and enjoyed boating, music,

woodworking, dancing, water skiing, skiing, snow shoeing and almost anything to do with the outdoors. He enjoyed his many friends and was devoted to his family. A humanitarian, Don was always able to see the best in anyone; he loved his fellow man and his community.

He is survived by his wife: Judith (Palmer) Nash, his two daughters: Brenda DiMillo and Ellen (Jon) Bates and his three sons: Donald (Sarah) M. Nash, Jr., Brett (Sonia) Collins, and Brian (Susan) Collins as well as his 10 grandchildren.

I have been friends with Don for 65 years since high school. For the last 19 or 20 years we have visited with Don and Judy here in California or at their homes in Westfield on an average of one or two times a year. This has effected me as if I had lost a brother. I always had someone to call and ask advice, and his was the best. He was the kindest person and always had a positive outlook on life.He and Judy,Gerry and I were to have met in Oregon last year but could not. We were planning it for this year. How I miss will him!

Judy:
I'm sitting here reading all the great notes about Don...I still can't believe it. Of course, we have many wonderful memories, too...we all loved Don's great smile and the conversations and laughs we've had throughout the years...a great host and a great guest! And although it may sound funny to hear it, I still think of him every time the bathroom door clicks shut because he was the one who finally fixed it so that it closed all the way - always the handyman!

Judy, Don, Brenda, Ellen, Brett and Brian - It's never easy to find the right words at a time like this. I was so saddened to hear about Don Sr.'s passing. Thinking about him brought back a lot of good memories about hanging out with you all in Westfield. It's a shame that an event like this is what spurs those memories. Your family will stay in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Judith,

Westfield is my hometown, although I've been gone many years. I clearly remember what a kind, caring, and warm man Don was. Whenever we kids went into the pharmacy, he and Bill McMahon always were delighted to see us. That memory has stayed with me all these years.

My heart goes out to you. I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
